The Injury Free Mobile seeks to accomplish the following: 1) To increase the awareness of injuries and the injury prevention network in the community; and 2)  To raise knowledge and skills about child safety. The program provides interactive education and training about child safety practices in the home, water and on wheels; provides skills building in proper use of safety devices (including home devices, car seats, and bicycle helmets); raises awareness about child injury risks and effective prevention; and offers safety items on a donation basis. The target population includes 2,590 parents/caregivers in Miami Dade County as well as pediatric residents.
